What is Holistic Sustainability and How It Can Be Implemented in Meetings and Events?

Holistic sustainability is a term you do not hear very often in meetings and events. You hear about SUSTAINABILITY, but what does holistic sustainability mean? And how does it affect your meetings and events?

Our 7 Step Process is deeply rooted in holistic sustainability. It takes into consideration 3 Ps of this concept: People, Planet and Profitability. Fill out THIS FORM to find out how our process can help you!

So what is it exactly?

When we work with our clients, we guide and educate on organizing their conferences to serve people, reduce negative impact on the planet and increase profitability. Our philosophy starts in defining what "holistic" and "sustainability" means to us. In our process, when we mean "holistic", we mean it "as a whole", "big picture", "lack of silos". When we talk about "sustainability" in our process, we talk about doing something that has positive effect on socio-economic factors internally and externally, and minimal negative impact.

7 Step Process that we have developed, is a two fold process. First, as preparation to launch into 7 Step Process, we look at big picture goals and objectives you have for the conference you hired us to plan. We address whole well-being of the event as it's own micro- or macro - organism within your organization and outside of it.

Second part of the process is where we start 7 Step Process for procurement, meeting logistics and execution.

Unlike many of our competitors who focus on specific tasks like sourcing or contract negotiation, we implement full procurement process as a foundation for meeting logistics and execution. This is what we mean when we say "holistic" or "no silos". When we start procurement of products and services for your conference, we already are future proofing your conference. How we do that is by taking into consideration how each vendor you choose will affect your further planning process.

If you are a small to medium business and do not have defined meetings and events department, we work with your designated officers on how to implement our 7 Step Process and take first steps towards holistic sustainability in your organization's conferences.

Conferences are a fantastic way to bring people together, share knowledge, and build a community. However, if you've ever been involved in organizing a conference, you'll know that they can be expensive to run. Most conferences struggle to break even, let alone turn a profit. But what if I told you that it's possible to plan a conference that not only breaks even but actually turns a profit? In this blog post, we'll explore one key strategy for planning profitable conferences and moving beyond breaking even. Today, we're delving into the world of profitable conferences and how to make them not just successful, but truly memorable and lucrative. And to add a touch of intrigue to our event planning arsenal, we introduce the cutting-edge service of Event Forensics. But fear not, dear event planners, for we're here to guide you through the maze and help you emerge victorious. So, what is the secret sauce to planning a profitable conference? Should you CUT cost on decor or activations? Maybe on food and beverage at the hotel? What if I told you that the only thing you need to do, is put your analytical hat on? Or even better, hire us to do it for you! Let's shine the spotlight on Event Forensics. Here is what one of the clients said about the Event Forensics service: "It's a guiding tool to help you see whether you are staying within the budget, but it also helps you see whether you have room to play with.
